CRANIAL - SACRAL OSTEOPATHY

Cranial Osteopathy
Cranial Osteopathy is not just treatment of the cranium, but a treatment modality for the whole body. A treatment may involve a gentle specific pressure on not only on the head, but also the spine, tailbone, pelvis, ribcage or extremities.

The practitioner uses a trained and finely tuned sense of touch to feel motion in the muscles, joints, connective tissue, nervous system and fluid layers of the body. The preactitioner can detect where motion patterns may be disturbed, thus affecting the state of health. By providing very specific points of ease in the tissue, the osteopath is able to help the body to unwind itself. The result is to re-establish ease through the muscular, nervous, immune, and circulatory systems. This follows Osteopathic principles that the body has an inherent tendency to be healthy and an inbuilt self-healing mechanism (homeostasis) in order to maintain health
